Job Purpose

We are looking for a project manager who has experience managing construction projects and must be able to utilize client interfaces to successfully ensure superior customer service and through proper communication and production of work.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Construction Project Manager will coordinate subcontractors of different disciplines to oversee quality to achieve the best results for our clients. The ideal candidate will be analytical, organized, and have excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, designers, clients, and internal staff to confirm accurate specifications for projects.
  • Negotiate contracts with external vendors and subcontractors to receive competitive pricing for our clients.
  • Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities.
  • Plan all construction operations and create project schedule to reflect timely completion.
  • Confirm project resources needed (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with Project Superintendent and execute.
  • Complete equipment and material purchasing, mindful of lead times and project schedule.
  • Coordinate subcontractor bids and contracts, collaborate with Project Superintendent to select and hire subcontractors.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate must possess the skill-set required to manage multiple projects from start to finish and must be comfortable working independently as well as in a team environment.

Qualifications Include
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with owners, subcontractors and on-site crew.
  • Must be able to maintain accurate and organized documentation such as contracts, cost reports, change orders, etc.
  • Must have strong written/verbal skills.
  • Understanding of construction procedures and project/material management principles.
  • Intermediate accounting knowledge and the importance for accuracy.
  • Must have substantial subcontractor management skills.
  • Must have experience and knowledge of acquiring equipment/material.
