About the CompanyOur client is a leading Florida‑based glass and glazing contractor, specializing in high‑quality commercial and architectural aluminum systems. Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator with a minimum of five years of experience in the glass and glazing industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive project experience across a range of glazing systems and applications, producing accurate, competitive bids that align with client expectations and company capabilities. This is an on‑site role in Orlando, FL, with relocation assistance available for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for commercial glass and glazing projects.
- Review project plans, specifications, and addenda to determine scope and requirements.
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing to ensure competitive bids.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure estimates align with operational capabilities.
- Participate in pre‑bid meetings and client presentations as required.
- Maintain and update historical cost data to improve future estimating accuracy.
- Ensure bids are submitted on time with complete and accurate documentation.
- Curtain wall systems (unitized and stick‑built)
- Storefront and entrance systems
- Commercial window and door systems
- Structural and decorative glass applications
- Skylights and architectural glazing features
- Impact‑resistant and energy‑efficient glazing solutions
- Aluminum framing systems, panels, and cladding
- Experience with commercial project types including hospitality, healthcare, education, government, K–12 schools, and corporate office buildings
- Minimum 5 years of estimating experience in the glass and glazing industry
- Strong knowledge of commercial glazing systems, fabrication, and installation methods
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications
- Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
- Detail‑oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
