Summary of Contributions:
The primary purpose is to lead, equip, and disciple student worshipers according to the DNA of Discovery Church’s Arts Ministry in the context of Student’s Midweek and Student Weekend Worship Services (when scheduled).

Responsibilities:

Serve as coordinator and point person for Sand Lake Campus Student Worship.

Attend Student Worship Planning Meetings and collaborate with the Next Gen Worship Pastor and the Student Worship Team.

Lead or facilitate Student Midweek and Weekend Student worship services.

Assist in planning worship for combined Student events (UN1TE, Student Camp, Worship Bootcamp, Student Worship Clinics, etc.).

Build worship teams and lead student worship volunteers (Band, Vocals).

Schedule worship volunteers in Planning Center Online (PCO).

Lead student worship rehearsals, soundchecks, devotions, or coaching times, etc.

Equip and develop student worship volunteers according to their gifting or calling.

Develop and maintain volunteer engagement and ensure continuous development.

Collaborate with parents, student pastors, and small group leaders to encourage student involvement in worship ministry.

Secondary Responsibilities:
As a part of the Arts staff and leaders within Student ministries, these responsibilities may also be requested or required of this position. These tasks, while important, will not take priority over the primary responsibilities and will be dependent on available hours.

Lead worship in non-student specific events (Young Adults, Weekend Worship, Gatherings, Nights of Worship, etc.).

Take part in non-worship related, student discipleship opportunities (i.e., assisting with a small group, leadership training, social/relationship building events).

Attend All Staff events (Staff meetings, Staff Trainings, and other Special Events, etc.).

Serve in non-student specific events (Young Adults, Weekend Worship, Gatherings, Nights of Worship, etc.).

Support new initiatives and programs as directed by church leadership.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

Talented both vocally and in leading from the stage.

Critical ear and the ability to both give and receive candid feedback.

Ability to develop and train volunteers.

Ability to make sound, critical decisions under pressure.

Passion for completing tasks with excellence in a timely manner.

Excellent interpersonal and relational skills.

Experience in leading a worship team/band.

A team player with excellent communication skills.

Experience

Required:

2+ years of Worship Ministry experience (Worship Leadership preferred).

Proficient musician on guitar and/or piano and able to lead worship from their instrument.
