Anthem Orlando is looking for a sharp, creative, and reliable AV & Lighting Tech to operate and maintain the technical systems that power our high-energy LGBTQ+ nightlife experience. This is a hands-on, part-time or on-call role ideal for someone with a background in lighting design, sound engineering, or live event production. If you know how to make a room feel electric with light, fog, bass, and vibe, we want you in the booth.

Description

Hourly Rate:

  • $20 to $35 per hour depending on experience and event complexity

Shifts:

• Must be available nights, weekends, and holidays

• Flexibility for rehearsals or talent walkthroughs as needed

Responsibilities:

  • Operate lighting and audio systems during live shows, DJ sets, and themed events
  • Program and run lighting cues for drag shows, dance sets, and immersive moments
  • Set up and break down AV equipment for each event, ensuring optimal performance
  • Collaborate with DJs, performers, and producers to deliver high-impact effects
  • Troubleshoot technical issues quickly and professionally
  • Maintain and update lighting rigs, audio gear, and cabling
  • Ensure all tech equipment is stored, secured, and maintained between events
  • Support general venue ambiance by adjusting lighting, sound levels, and special effects throughout the night

Qualifications:

  • Experience with DMX lighting control, mixers, and AV systems required
  • Familiarity with lighting consoles (Chauvet, ETC, or similar) a plus
  • Knowledge of signal flow, speaker placement, and sound troubleshooting
  • Experience in a nightlife or club setting preferred
  • Reliable, communicative, and calm under pressure
  • Comfortable working in dark, loud, and fast-paced environments
  • Passion for nightlife, performance, and creating standout guest experiences
