Dental Treatment Coordinator

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Treatment Coordinator to present dental treatment plans to patients, consult them on available payment options and help remove barriers so patients can move forward with scheduling care. This Coordinator should be a facilitator of care, explaining insurance when applicable, and working out possible financing for qualified patients who need monthly pay plans.

• Present dental treatment plans to patients
• Consult patients on payment options and financing to move forward with scheduling care
• Explain insurance when applicable and facilitate understanding of how dental insurance works
• Work out financing for qualified patients who need monthly pay plans
• Coordinate with doctors in the clinic to discuss diagnosis and explore viable treatment alternatives
• Ongoing routine tasks including patient follow-up and interaction with doctors to discuss diagnosis and viable alternatives

• Proven track record in treatment coordination and meeting performance targets
• Proficient in Dentrix (ledger, charts, treatment plans, scheduling)
• Excellent verbal communication skills (multilingual preferred but not required: Spanish or Portuguese)
• Familiarity with third party financing (Care Credit, Alpheon, HFD, Cherry, Lending Club, Patient Fi)
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to connect with people on a personal level
• Awareness of how dental insurance works; experienced with dental ADA codes
