We’re looking for a Junior Architect to join our dynamic team in our Orlando office. Assists project team in the application of principles, methods, and techniques of architectural technology by performing the following duties:

• Performs assignments designed to continue to develop professional architectural experience requiring routine application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria for related architectural tasks. Assignments will require limited independent judgement, under the supervision of a professional Architect.
• Performs design and calculation tasks based on standard architectural techniques and procedures. Applies standard practices, architectural fundamentals, and techniques in specific situations, adjusts and correlates data, and follows design through a series of related detailed steps or processes.
• Performs design of aspects of minor routine projects under direction of Project Architect, or responsible staff member.
• Assists in the preparation of reports, specifications, plans, schedules, cost estimates and permits for projects, under the direction of Project Architect or other responsible staff.
• Performs CAD drafting to produce routine final drawings.
• May visit construction site to assist in the performance of construction administration duties per the contract documents.
• Performs checking of one’s own work and work prepared by other team members.
• Assists in the coordination of all applicable project discipline’s drawings and specifications.
• Promotes communications, cooperation and quality among team members.
• Must be skilled in the use of:
• Microsoft Windows, and Word
• AutoCAD, Revit
• Miscellaneous department product/system selection and sizing software
• Knowledge of the latest computer software for architectural renderings and building energy simulation.
• Basic knowledge of sustainable/green design practices.
• Responsible for job‑specific standards, practices and quality as defined by operational standards.

Bachelor’s degree in architecture from an accredited four‑year college or university and minimum two years of experience in architecture.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
