Description
A Designer is responsible for design and production of architectural designs, including design, free‑hand sketches, 3D modeling, or digital or hand‑colored renderings. The designer will collaborate with design and production teams to develop design solutions to different types of projects on an as‑needed basis. An ideal candidate will be able to iterate individually and collaborate with teams and be responsive to working with clients and the needs of the firm.
RequirementsA Designer should have a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) and limited experience in an architectural firm. The position requires proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD and other computer‑aided skills, a basic understanding of architecture and building construction, basic knowledge of codes and an understanding of their interpretation. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
Responsibilities- Design and produce architectural designs, including iterative design process
- Complete designated scope of work within allotted time
- Research and apply applicable design and code issues
- Coordinate work with production team
- Collaborate within design and production teams
- Limited client contact
- Other duties as assigned
Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time, handle stressful situations and multi‑tasking, work under time constraints, and long hours may be required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Overtime (40+ hours) may be required as needed.
Work EnvironmentMust be able to handle stressful situations multi‑tasking, and working within reasonable time constraints to meet production schedules and budgets. Will work in a normal office environment and may also be required to work outside of a normal office from time‑to‑time.
