Job Overview
Hoefer Welker is hiring a Project Architect (Level III) with 8+ years of experience. The role involves managing, designing, and delivering successful building projects from schematic to construction, while maintaining office standards and best practices.
Responsibilities- Provide leadership, support, and mentorship to the architectural team, fostering a collaborative and client‑centric environment.
- Work collaboratively with consultants, contractors, and owners throughout all project phases, ensuring integrated project delivery and alignment with office, client, and project goals.
- Advance client satisfaction by proactively identifying future project opportunities and encouraging continued partnership.
- Coordinate project personnel, monitor assignments, and ensure project requirements are met.
- Track scope, schedule, budget, and status of all assigned projects.
- Maintain client confidence by upholding professionalism, accountability, and performance standards.
- Conduct architectural studies, develop design concepts and criteria, and prepare reports, calculations, and detailed design and construction documents.
- Perform preliminary field surveys and develop preliminary design drafts.
- Assist in developing statements of probable cost.
- Present plans and documents to governing authorities for land‑use, zoning, and permit approvals.
- Inspect construction projects during progress and upon completion, advising contractors on plans and specifications.
- Prepare materials, write construction specifications, and develop detailed construction documents.
- Initiate and enforce a quality assurance program throughout the project life cycle.
- Support the entire project from conceptual design through full implementation.
- Serve as an SME on specialized systems and represent lead technical viewpoints.
- Liaise with project management, architects, and consultants to ensure coordinated project delivery.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or related field.
- Architectural registration required; NCARB and LEED Green Associate desired.
- 8+ years of architectural practice on technical projects.
- Proficiency in Revit, Sketch Up, Microsoft Office;
Deltek Vantagepoint and Newforma knowledge preferred. - Strong leadership, decision‑making, delegation, and mentoring skills.
- Exceptional client service and responsive design solution delivery.
- Self‑motivated, strong work ethic, and consistently meeting project goals.
- Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team player across disciplines.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to use personal vehicle as required.
