Digital Delivery​/BIM Intern - Summer

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Digital Delivery / BIM Intern to join our Orlando, FL, Houston, TX, Atlanta, GA or Alexandria, VA office. This role is ideal for students pursuing Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Architectural Technology, Engineering Technology, Virtual Design & Construction (VDC), or related programs. The Digital Delivery/BIM Intern will support AtkinsRéalis' Digital Delivery team in the development, coordination, analysis, and visualization of engineering and architectural models across major transportation, aviation, infrastructure, and facilities programs.

The intern will work alongside BIM managers, digital coordinators, architects, engineers, and data specialists to support model development, clash detection, 4D scheduling, 5D cost analysis, dashboard reporting, and digital project delivery initiatives. Your role includes assisting with

• development and maintenance of BIM models within Revit, Civil 3D, Open Roads Designer, and related platforms;
• supporting multidisciplinary model coordination and clash detection activities;
• participating in federated model reviews and issue tracking;
• developing Power BI dashboards for project reporting and model analytics;
• assisting with model quality assurance and validation reviews;
• supporting 4D schedule simulation and visualization efforts;
• assisting with 5D quantity takeoff and cost‑related modeling initiatives;
• supporting digital coordination meetings and preparation of coordination reports.

EXPERIENCE:

Some CAD/BIM exposure.

EDUCATION:

Currently pursuing a degree in Architecture, Architecture Technology/ Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering/ Management, Engineering Technology, Building Information Modeling.

SPECIAL

SKILLS:

Strong interest in automation/visualization, Power BI.

Expected compensation range is between $25 - $31 hourly depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
