Multiple Optometrist Openings

Orlando | Extremely High Earning Potential

Our Fl-based client is seeking multiple medically focused Optometrists to join their Orlando and Orlando suburb clinics.

In this role, approximately 75% of your time will be spent as a Gatekeeper Optometrist for the Capitated patient base. The target will be 30 patients per day.

• You will be initial provider that a patient sees for vision care performing routine exams, initial evaluations, and basic diagnostics.
• You will triage cases and determine which patients require care escalation to Ophthalmogolists. The goal will be to only refer surgical or complex medical cases to MD’s.
• You will help ensure continuity of care, monitoring chronic conditions like glaucoma or diabetic retinopathy unless progression warrants MD intervention.

The remaining 25% of your time will be spent seeing Fee-for-Service (FFS) patients including optical cases. The target will be 10-12 patients per day; however, additional volume is available based upon your desires.

Position Highlights
:

• Ideal Work Environment: Very established within the community with significant existing volume. The clinic(s) are all beautiful spaces with the largest clinic having just completed a recent multi-million dollar renovation.
• Culture & Support: You will receive 2 experienced Technicians and 1 Scribe. Additional support staff is available based upon volume. You will be amongst a large team of providers and support staff allowing for knowledge sharing.
• Partnership Opportunities: You have the opportunity to invest and become a partner in the practice.
• High Earning Potential: Realistic opportunity to make $250,000 to $300,000 annually; however, your earning potential is unlimited with our model!
• Capitated Base Salary: $150,000
• Quarterly Capitated Bonus: $12,500 to $18,750 bonus opportunity based upon capitated cost management ($50,000 to $75,000 annually)
• FFS Volume Compensation: 28% of collections
• Optical Sales: 4% of all referred optical sales
• Relocation Assistance: Available if needed
• Professional Fees: Company paid malpractice insurance, licensing, DEA, membership dues, and CME

Qualifications
:

• Degree: Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution
• Experience: Strong experience in medical optometry and ocular disease management. Must be able to manage in a high patient volume environment. Great customer service, communication, and collaboration skills are required.
