Medical Director, Pediatric Surgery – Advent Health Tampa

Advent Health for Children and Advent Health Medical Group are looking for a dynamic and energetic full‑time Pediatric Surgery leader to join our team at Advent Health Tampa. This role offers an opportunity to build on our strong practice within the Central Florida division, provide excellent clinical care, and grow an outpatient clinic practice with community partnership support. The Pediatric Surgery team based in Orlando will also provide coverage to our full‑time surgeon in Tampa.

• Programmatic development, clinical quality, and performance improvement.
• Full‑time APP support coverage (no trauma, no ECMO at Tampa).
• Grow outpatient clinic practice and develop relationships with community physicians.
• Assist with full‑time surgeon coverage in Tampa and collaborate with the Orlando team.

• Fellowship training in Pediatric Surgery.
• Board certification in Pediatric Surgery through the American Board of Surgery.
• Broad surgical technical skills.
• Willingness to build the program.
• Patient‑centered focus.
• Excellent communication skills.

Advent Health Tampa is a not‑for‑profit 536‑bed tertiary hospital located in the uptown district of Tampa, Florida. The hospital specializes in cardiovascular medicine, digestive health, neuroscience, orthopedics, women’s services, oncology, endocrinology, bariatrics, wound healing, sleep medicine, and general surgery. Children’s units include five PICU beds, 15 pediatric beds, and 28 NICU beds. The hospital is part of the Advent Health network of 30 hospitals.
