The Advent Health Diabetes Institute is seeking a dynamic and energetic, clinically-focused endocrinologist to join our team in Winter Garden, Florida. New physician will join existing practice of one physician and one advanced practice provider with a focus on general endocrinology and diabetes. This opportunity is almost entirely outpatient. The mission of the Advent Health Diabetes Institute is to improve the lives of people with diabetes, promote a healthy lifestyle, deliver excellence in clinical care and education, and conduct research leading to diabetes prevention and a cure.

The new physician would be part of our larger team over 20 endocrine providers covering multiple locations around the Central Florida area.

The Advent Health Diabetes Institute is a full-service, integrated practice, providing endocrinology and diabetes care, as well as comprehensive diabetes and nutrition education services. The AHDI is a nationally recognized program including consistent recognition in Endocrinology by U.S. News and World Report. We serve as a teaching site for internal medicine residents and medical students. We also participate in clinical research in the areas of diabetes, obesity and metabolism in partnership with our Translational Research Institute for Metabolism and Diabetes.

The Advent Health Diabetes Institute serves the greater Orlando area across the Advent Health Central Florida Division. The main office is situated in over 20,000 sq ft of beautiful office space on the campus of Advent Health Orlando, a 1,364 bed tertiary referral hospital. Candidates must be committed to delivering transformational clinical care within the outpatient and inpatient settings. In addition, there may be opportunities to participate in teaching and clinical research for qualified and interested candidates.

Physician must be fellowship trained and have active board certification through the American Board of Internal Medicine with board certification or board eligibility (within five years of completion of training) in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism.

Advent Health Winter Garden opened its new inpatient tower in May 2022, a $229.5 million expansion which brings critical services to the fast-growing West Orange community. The new tower provides 80 private rooms and space for new services, including orthopedics, advanced gynecology, cardiology, gastroenterology, general and robotic surgery, neurology, spine health, colorectal and urology.

Advent Health is conveniently close to many gorgeous homes, downtown urban living, shopping, and great schools. As one of the most visited American cities, Orlando has world-class attractions including Universal Studios, Walt Disney World, and easy access to both coasts for numerous world renowned beaches.
