Pediatric Intensivist – Advent Health for Children Overview
Advent Health for Children is seeking a Pediatric Intensivist to join our growing team. We have an active Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) Program, a pediatric residency program with twelve residents per year, and clinical research opportunities.
Advent Health also has a 22‑bed pediatric ICU that maintains its own leadership structure and physician staff.
Practice DescriptionThis employment opportunity includes call coverage, competitive compensation, occurrence‑based malpractice coverage, paid leave days, CME days and allowance, a 403(b) retirement plan, health insurance for physician and family, and a relocation allowance.
The practice is part of Advent Health Medical Group (AHMG), a sister organization of Advent Health that employs 600+ physicians in over 60 specialties.
Hospital DescriptionOur Walt Disney Pavilion at Advent Health for Children is a full‑service, tertiary children’s hospital with over 200 dedicated pediatric beds, more than 35 pediatric ICU beds with a dedicated pediatric CICU, a 102‑bed NICU, 17‑bed pediatric emergency department, and a statewide pediatric network and transport system.
Key programs include a level IV epilepsy program, the region’s only BMT and solid‑organ transplants (kidney and liver), and increased NICU capacity. In 2019, Advent Health for Children was recognized by U.S. News & World Report as the best Children’s Hospital for newborn care in Florida and by The Leapfrog Group as a top Children’s Hospital for quality and safety.
