PRN Pediatric Hospitalist – Advent Health for Children

Advent Health for Children and Advent Health Medical Group are looking for dynamic and energetic PRN pediatric hospitalists with a focus and interest for inpatient pediatric care to join our team at the Walt Disney Pavilion in Orlando.

• Rotating with the other pediatric hospitalists providing in house coverage within our medical/surgical pediatric units
• Performing pediatric admissions to the dedicated Pediatric Units
• ED pediatric consults as needed and participate in daily family centered rounding
• Collaboration with Advanced Practice Providers on respective pediatric units
• The Pediatric Hospitalist Program is partnered with Graduate Medical Education, thus providing the opportunity to work with residents
• All major surgical and medical sub-specialties on site, include Liver & Kidney Transplant
• Hospitalist team consists of over 30 physicians and APPs
• Rotation of days, nights and weekends
• EPIC EMR System

Our Walt Disney Pavilion at Advent Health for Children is a full‑service, tertiary children’s hospital with over 200 dedicated pediatric beds, more than 30 pediatric ICU beds with a dedicated pediatric CICU, a 102‑bed NICU, 17‑bed pediatric emergency department and a statewide pediatric network and transport system. We started our comprehensive pediatric open‑heart program in 2012 and have a strong track record of positive outcomes.

We also have several key destination programs including our Level IV Epilepsy program, the region’s only BMT and solid organ transplants including kidney and liver. We increased Orlando area NICU beds to 150 total in 2017. Our unparalleled network consists of 30 hospitals across the state, with one children’s hospital at the center that totals over 23,000 births and several extremely successful pediatric subspecialty programs including outreach clinics.

These 30 hospitals refer patients for tertiary and qua ternary services to our main location near downtown Orlando. Our newest program has brought pediatric liver transplant services to Central Florida. In 2019 through 2024, Advent Health for Children is recognized by U.S. News & World Report as the best Children’s Hospital for newborn care in Florida, and is also recognized by The Leapfrog Group as a top Children’s Hospital for quality and safety.
