About the School Intervention Specialist RoleSail Future Academy is recruiting a dynamic and relatable leader to motivate and support students in a project-based high school.
Sail Future Academy invites applications for a full-time Youth Intervention Specialist role. This position is an entry-level educational leadership and behavior management role responsible for supporting students throughout the school day, overseeing general school operations, and assisting with transportation as necessary.
Intervention specialists will be responsible for assisting with the effective implementation of school behavior policies, processes, and procedures. The ideal candidate(s) will charismatically engage students who may temporarily disengage from class or need to step away in order to refocus their attention.
Duties Include- Monday-Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm
- Assist with transportation of students from their internships and externships
- Help ensure a safe classroom environment, both physically and emotionally
- Ensure students uphold community standards in the classroom and within our community
- Create a space for students to fail forward in order to improve their mastery of target objectives
- Able to provide real-time, constructive feedback to students to help growth
- Provide individualized input for each student in term-end review meetings
- Skilled at working with teens in a one-on-one environment
- Establish meaningful relationships and build trust with students to assist in improving their behavior, educational performance, and social relationships
