Lead Testing Specialist
Student Accessibility Services (SAS) works with 4,000+ students with disabilities every year to facilitate equal access and reasonable accommodations. SAS works closely with faculty, Housing, and other departments to ensure disabled students experience equal opportunity to the campus experience. SAS also explores ways in which the UCF experience can be proactively designed with disability access and inclusion considered from the outset so as to minimize the need for reactive accommodations.

UCF's Student Accessibility Services seeks applicants for a Lead Testing Specialist. The Lead Testing Specialist plays a pivotal role in Student Accessibility Services (SAS), overseeing the management of approximately 10,000 accommodated exams annually. The Lead Testing Specialist will have oversight for developing and implementing efficient scheduling processes to support students and faculty while maintaining a robust proctoring system.
Responsibilities- Serve in a supportive leadership role by working closely with the SAS Testing Coordinator to handle certain administrative tasks, such as late test requests and specific faculty communication; serve as lead point of contact and decision‑making in the absence of the Testing Coordinator.
- Create and coordinate composition exams and common exams.
- Manage tremendous amounts of details regarding test times, length of time for test, nuanced details and exam requirements as communicated by professors, and other specific information that must be effectively stored and communicated to the testing team.
- Communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff regarding exam details, test scheduling preferences, and concerns that may arise before, during, or after testing; requires effective verbal and written communication abilities.
- Support SAS front desk work, including but not limited to answer phones and greeting walk‑in guests; support SAS in other operational areas as needed.
- Multitask across a variety of responsibilities warranting extreme attention to detail, including but not limited to processing test requests within the SAS database and careful preparation and coordination during final exams.
Bachelor's or Master's degree and 0+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).
Preferred Qualifications- 1+ year of experience in an administrative or office support role.
- 1+ year of customer service experience.
- Experience in higher education is a plus.
- Experience working in accessibility or with individuals with disabilities.
- Proficiency in test proctoring procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage and optimize processes.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time‑management skills.
