Pay RangeBase pay: $45,000.00/yr - $52,000.00/yr. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience. Talk with your recruiter to learn more.
Position OverviewThe Career Coach supports the school's mission to ensure every student graduates high school with an appropriate postsecondary plan. Responsibilities include working with students on career exploration, research, planning, employment skills, assessment interpretation, and job placement. The coach also collaborates with teachers, administrators, and community resources to facilitate students' transition to postsecondary pathways.
Primary Responsibilities- Assist with student orientation.
- Coordinate postsecondary readiness activities.
- Monitor and document students' postsecondary progress.
- Manage the College and Career Center.
- Network with community resources for experiential learning opportunities.
- Help students develop job readiness skills and personal qualities.
- Organize events for students, parents, and families related to postsecondary planning.
- Support initiatives to meet enrollment and attendance goals.
- Perform additional duties aligned with school policies to meet educational and behavioral objectives.
- Bachelor’s Degree required;
Master’s preferred. - Valid driver’s license required.
- Florida Teaching Certification or Statement of Eligibility (School Guidance preferred) or any subject area.
- Effective communication skills.
- Computer literacy.
- At least two years of professional experience coaching high school students in career and postsecondary options.
- Experience working with low-performing and over-age youth preferred.
- Bilingual skills preferred.
- Knowledge of career resources, college admissions, and financial aid processes.
- Strong English language skills.
- Ability to organize and operate a high school Career Center.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to analyze assessments and provide advisement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
