Overview
The Teacher for the Visually Impaired provides students with appropriate learning experiences and activities designed to help them in social, intellectual, and emotional growth. The Teacher for the Visually Impaired organizes and implements an instructional program for visually impaired students. Enables students to develop competencies and skills to function in a successful and positive manner.
Minimum Requirements- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)
- Valid state teaching certificate as required by state regulations
- One year experience as a teacher for the visually impaired (preferred)
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
