We are seeking a kind and caring individual to support a 2nd-grade student within the mainstream classroom. The student is bright, but has trouble focusing and reading. This is a unique opportunity to help a child thrive socially, academically, and personally.
Student Support Shadows work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents. If you are patient, caring, and understanding, you will thrive in this role. This is an excellent role to springboard for future growth in education as a Teacher's Assistant, Lead Teacher, or ABA service provider.
Pay Range: $17-$19 an hour
- Provide calm and caring guidance to the student, supporting academic, social, and emotional needs
- Work with the student, both in-class and one-on-one, to enhance their learning and complete the classwork
- Collaborate with the parent and teachers to support the child
- Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders
- No prior experience required; willingness to learn and grow with our school is essential
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
