Position Introduction/Key DutiesCimarron is seeking a Product Acceptance Specialist to support the development and sustainment of Boeing’s CST-100 Starliner spacecraft at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, in collaboration with NASA's Commercial Crew Program.

The selected candidate for this position must be able to work either the first or second shift.
Key Duties- Ensure adherence to all documented procedures, processes, and sequences during real-time testing and post-test.
- Identify and document discrepancies.
- Segregate and control non-conforming items.
- Identify the required test parameters.
- Verify complex product conformance to the design requirements.
- Observe job processes, tasks, and work products to ensure freedom from errors, omissions, or defects.
- Provide feedback and recommend solutions to ensure process compliance.
- Review, analyze, and interpret inspection results and develop solutions.
- Provide expertise and leadership to customers and team members in all areas of product verification and acceptance.
- Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
- Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening, which will include but is not limited to testing for marijuana use.
- This is a sensitive/safety-sensitive position and is subject to DOT random drug and alcohol testing.
- This position requires access to federal facilities. Candidates must possess a valid, unexpired Real
-compliant driver's license or state-issued identification card at the time of hire. If you are unsure whether your Real
-compliant, please check for the star symbol in the upper portion of your driver's license or state . - Ability to pass physical examination (visual acuity, color perception, respiratory, etc.) to meet production certification and safety requirements.
- Ability and willingness to become SCAPE (self-contained atmospheric protective ensemble) suit certified. The SCAPE suit is a garment that is worn to protect personnel engaged in the handling of oxidizers and hypergolic propellants. This certification requires passing a series of strenuous physical exams in addition to working in a hazardous environment.
- Must be able to work any shift assigned (1st or 2nd) and overtime, if required.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs unassisted.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods (8 hours or more).
- Must be able to stoop, bend, crawl, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Must be able to climb ladders, stairways, and scaffolding.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 5 or more years of related experience.
- Experience performing quality inspections in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Ability to identify repetitive or significant non-conformances and initiate requests for corrective action.
- Experience following detailed work instructions and reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, drawings, or specifications.
- Knowledge of precision measurement tools and techniques.
- Experience with the following types of hand inspection tools, such as calipers, digital optical micrometers, depth gages, thread gages, go/no-go gages, etc.
- Experience with the inspection of parts, components, and assemblies.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Materials Review Board (MRB) and/or corrective action experience.
- Experience working with AS9100 and/or a similar QMS standard.
- Experience supporting a Defense or Space-related program (e.g. NASA, DoD, etc.).
- Experience with programmable inspection equipment, such as a Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM).
- Familiarity with the repair process and concepts of materials and metals (i.e. Ti, Al, composites, etc.).
