Senior Water Resources Engineer (Moving I-4 Forward)

We are seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer (Moving I-4 Forward) to join our team within the FDOT Corridors Program Office (CPO) located in Celebration, FL. This embedded position reports to the office five days per week and assists the Moving I-4 Forward program, one of the highest-profile projects in the state. You will work with a team of engineers at the CPO, FDOT, and others around the state to deliver this program.

• Prepare project specifications; complete project documents, analyses, and reports; analyze and interpret data; perform design, planning, and impact study analyses; conduct cost analyses, design requirements, site selection, and limited design layouts; design complete projects, systems, components, and/or processes; perform quality control reviews and field reviews and observations of ongoing construction projects.
• Provide technical guidance and assign tasks to junior and support staff for project duration and/or manage discipline and small multidisciplinary teams.

• Possess a degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• PE is required.
• Knowledgeable of applicable federal, state, and local codes, criteria, regulations, and ordinances.
• Proficient in production software and construction document production.
• Passion for formulating and solving problems with timely and innovative solutions.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; capable of interacting with and building strong relationships with clients, contractors, team members, and stakeholders.

Expected compensation range is between $125,000 - $138,000 annually or $60.00 - $66.00 hourly, depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
