Black & Veatch has an exciting opportunity for a Water Supply Engineering Planner based in Florida.

Our U.S. community planning and water resources business has experienced consistent growth due to our clients’ needs to address challenges such as population growth, water stress, groundwater depletion, water quality, drought resilience, climate variability, water rights, permitting issues, and evolving reuse regulations. In the West, we expect a greater focus on integrated water resource management, including surface water, groundwater, aquifer storage and recovery, conservation, demand management, and reuse solutions as population increases and water resiliency issues become more pressing.
This position is designed to support the company in executing projects in the East and nationwide by providing world‑class water planning services.

Key Responsibilities- Develop water management strategies and planning assessments.
- Support innovative water planning services, including integrated supply planning, master planning, potable reuse, and brackish water desalination.
- Provide water demand estimates and conservation assessments.
- Support planning‑level estimates of project costs.
- Support water supply marketing efforts and build relationships with key water leaders and decision makers throughout the US.
- Support permitting of water supply and water reuse projects.
- Interpret federal, state, and local codes, rules and regulations.
- Prepare work plans, reports, and proposals.
- Work with clients, business developers, and delivery teams to ensure that deliverables meet client needs.
- Assist with project management duties including preparation, development and tracking of project scopes, budgets and schedules, determination of required resources and project risks.
- Assist with managing, evaluating, and interpreting collected data for water resources, supply and hydrogeologic projects. #LI-BK1
- 5+ years of work in the water field, including water supply planning.
- Bachelor of Science and/or Master of Science Degree required.
- Licensed PE.
