Field Service Engineer – IQVIA
IQVIA, one of the largest medical device manufacturers in the US, invites you to join our team as a Field Service Engineer. This role offers an opportunity to collaborate with healthcare professionals and lead technical initiatives within medical device technology.
This is a 100% travel position requiring local, regional, and national travel.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team installing, updating, and performing preventative maintenance on medical devices (infusion pumps, batteries, etc.) across hospitals in the United States.
- Provide ongoing communication and customer support to on‑site hospital staff.
- Organize, test, and update medical devices; install and configure hardware, software, and network products.
- Conduct routine checks, record data from product tests, and submit daily data while maintaining high‑quality product support documentation.
- Commit to a full‑time schedule with 40 hours per week and overtime as needed; assignment‑based schedule.
- Execute other duties at the discretion of management.
- Associate degree, or equivalent military training, or equivalent biomedical/technical field service experience (3‑5 years).
- Strong computer skills and ability to troubleshoot project setup, technical issues, and closeouts remotely across multiple software programs.
- Professional business acumen and effective communication skills.
- Self‑motivated, capable of working independently or collaboratively within a team.
- Strong time‑management and organizational skills to ensure on‑time completion of project assignments.
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license and personal vehicle for local assignments.
- Ability to sit and stand for long periods and lift up to 70 pounds.
- Ability to clear hospital vendor credentialing requirements, including proof of vaccination status.
- Must have personal vehicle in good running condition for local travel and be located within 45 minutes to 1 hour of an international or major airport (preferred within 30 miles).
- Background in biomedical, networking, military, or field‑based technician roles.
- Experience working in a technical role within a healthcare environment.
- Competence with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, One Note).
Compensation: Potential base pay range: $27.00 - $29.00 per hour
. Pay may vary based on qualifications, location, and schedule. Additional incentive plans, bonuses, and benefits may be offered.
