- Preparation of design plans, specifications, and reports for a variety of water/wastewater and stormwater projects, which may include transmission, distribution, collection, treatment, storage, utility master planning, permitting, and various engineering tasks.
- Hydraulic modeling, including stormwater pre/post and advanced treatment and storage design, along with water and sewer pumping systems and hydraulic water distribution modeling.
- Interact successfully with various public and private clients and other jurisdictional agencies.
- Perform assignments that require application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out engineering tasks, designed to develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities.
- Review design plans and compare them to accepted municipal standards and details.
- Prepare engineering‑related calculations, develop drawings, and create visual aids.
- Work on a wide range of projects and tasks, assist with field research, data collection, data analysis, graphics, maps, data presentation, and report development.
- Manage time and workload to stay on schedule and within budget.
- Travel as needed for site investigations, construction observation, and project transmittals.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- E.I. Certificate preferred or eligible and scheduled for FE exam.
- Detail‑oriented with strong technical and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets, word processing, and standard office software.
- Works well in multidisciplinary team environments and can meet deadlines.
- Strong oral presentation and written communication skills.
- Experience with Water
CAD, ICPR, and other modeling software preferred. - Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Dependent upon experience.
