VHB is seeking a Senior GIS Analyst/Project Manager to join our growing GIS team in Florida. The ideal candidate will be located within driving distance of Chipley, FL; other locations in the Florida Panhandle, Tampa or Orlando may also be considered. This role supports a wide range of clients with geographic information system (GIS) services across sectors including transportation, state departments of transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). municipal governments, energy, institutional, real estate, and federal agencies.

• Serves as a GIS thought leader.
• Oversee and produce GIS and database applications utilizing the ArcGIS Platform, MS SQL Server, JavaScript, Python, APIs and REST Services.
• Provides project management or task management support on GIS related projects.
• Work within a team that designs, creates, and implements complex spatial databases and helps software engineers and other staff understand spatial data processes in support of creating and maintaining end-user applications.
• Leads highly complex GIS projects and serves as a mentor to junior GIS staff.
• Provides direction and support to ensure departmental effectiveness and efficiency.
• Provide support in configuring web applications using Esri's ArcGIS Online/Portal (ArcGIS Field Maps, Survey
  123, Story Maps, Experience Builder, ArcGIS Dashboard, Web Maps and Web Applications).
• Communicate and be able to work as an individual as well as part of a large team.
• Proactively provide your own ideas and solutions to solve project related problems.
• Provide time estimates, write scopes of work, and develop budget estimates for project proposals and RFPs.
• Perform Quality Control tests on work products done by others.

• Must have a solid understanding of the principles and practices of GIS and cartography.
• Demonstrated experience in project management on DOT related projects of all sizes and complexity.
• Geodatabase design, development, management and maintenance.
• Experience configuring web applications using Esri's web application frameworks and products such as Experience Builder, ArcGIS Dashboards, Field Maps, and Survey
  123.
• Able to create map services and interactive web applications.
• Experience with Esri's Model Builder programming language for building geoprocessing workflows.
• Able to utilize GIS applications to perform advanced spatial analysis or data conversion or manipulation, e.g., raster/surface manipulation, mosaic, modify and repurpose imagery for other software.
• Familiarity with at least one of the following programming languages, Python, JavaScript, Arcade, C#.
• Demonstrated experience providing GIS services within a DOT environment.
• Ability to learn new skills and methods on-the-fly, troubleshoot issues, and solve technical problems.

• 8+ years of professional experience utilizing GIS technology, including at least 4 years of project management experience working with one or more Departments of Transportation (DOTs).
• BS in GIS, Engineering, Planning, or Geography.
• Master's degree preferred and may be substituted for 1-2 years of experience.
• GISP certification required.
• Experience working with the Esri product Suite, Desktop, Web, and strong understanding of Esri data models required.
