Join us as a Quality Engineer on our team in Orlando, FL. At CACI, we specialize in the design, development, and manufacturing of complex, state-of-the‑art systems for military, space, and commercial applications. Our products include optical and RF systems as well as sophisticated image‑processing and visualization systems. This position will be first shift/split shift.
We are looking for a Quality Engineer to support our manufacturing and shipping processes, quality audits, change‑management initiatives, and employee training.
Responsibilities- Support customer audits as required.
- Act as Chair for the MRB process, participating in all aspects of the Root Cause and Corrective Action process (initiation, investigation, implementation, review).
- Identify and implement process improvements to meet program‑specific and corporate goals.
- Conduct in‑process and final inspection audits in manufacturing and/or shipping as needed.
- Conduct regular walk‑through audits of lab and production areas.
- Create and conduct training on quality assurance topics for all company personnel as appropriate.
- Participate in the site’s calibration system.
- Position will be first shift/split shift.
- BS in Engineering, related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in electronic, optoelectronic, and/or opto‑mechanical product quality assurance.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Solid knowledge of ISO 9001.
- Excellent work habits (proactiveness, responsibility, organization, self‑motivation, etc.).
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with dispositioning hardware for quality related issues in a manufacturing facility.
- Familiarity with the Material Review Board (MRB) process.
- Familiarity with electrical or mechanical design requirements and specifications.
- Familiarity with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) techniques.
- Be able to work first or second shift.
- ASQ certifications (CQE, CQA, CSQP), or other similar professional certifications.
- Familiarity with AS9100 a plus.
- Prior experience delivering hardware for space‑flight programs.
