System Design/Architecture - Multi-Focus Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a part in developing software and hardware solutions to perform functional and diagnostic testing of various communication electronic assemblies (UUTs) and test equipment. Daily involvement will include understanding and capturing customer requirements and defining and automation of test scenarios. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of both hardware and software testing principles, knowledge of automation tools and frameworks, and a passion for problem‑solving.

• Requirements Analysis:
  Assist with performing analysis on technical OEM documentation, schematics, and UUT behavior to understand the functionality of the UUT regarding determination of test requirements.
• Test Design of Wiring Harness and accessories:
  Assist with designing physical interface connections requiring document generation of an electrical schematic or wire list and bill of material to connect the UUT input/output (I/O) to the Astronics test station I/O.
• Determine and assist procurement of components materials required.
• Test Suite Automation:
  Develop automated test programs to implement defined test requirements that apply stimulus to and measure outputs from the UUT.
• Use of revision control software for all source and document data.
• Perform debug and troubleshooting procedures as required to resolve failure conditions during development and reported by end users.
• Test Execution:
  Execute manual and automated tests to verify product functionality, performance, and reliability.
• Help analyze test results and identify root cause of failures.
• Customer interface may be required.

• 15 years Experience with software development and writing automated test programs.
• Ability to read and understand electronic schematics and assembly drawings.
• Knowledge of basic electronic components and ability to determine operations based on component datasheet.
• Ability to perform analytical reasoning and problem solving with knowledge in performing root cause analysis and recommending correct action to resolve test failures.
• Knowledge and ability to demonstrate the understanding and methods of RF parametric measurement principles.
• Understanding of basic RF principles.
• Programming knowledge in C#, C++, Python, or similar Object Oriented languages.
• Experience with all types of test equipment (e.g., RF spectrum analyzers, RF Generators, RF Receivers, oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Permanent position based out of Orlando, FL.

The pay range for this position is $ - $/yr.
