Role OverviewIn the role of Water/Wastewater EIT/Designer, you will collaborate closely with clients and communities to design sustainable, cost‑effective systems contributing to cleaner environments and healthier communities. You will help shape solid waste infrastructure and environmental stewardship across waste planning, remediation, engineering and implementation.
Responsibilities- Create planning level, preliminary, and detailed designs of water focused systems under the instruction of a Project Engineer.
- Prepare deliverables for water or water resources focused systems, write specifications, analysis, modeling, and study‑level reports, determine appropriate design methods, possible equipment sizing and selection, and work directly with Clients to deliver an outstanding experience.
- Perform as part of a quality assurance team and conduct quality control reviews of completed deliverables.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate.
- Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.
- Local candidates preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field.
- Interest or experience analyzing and designing water focused systems.
- Experience with production, simulation, and automation such as BIM systems, numerical modeling platforms, and other production tools.
- Microsoft Office experience.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee‑owned culture is a must.
