The Right of Way Mapping Technician will work in a team environment within the Surveying and Mapping department. The role involves right‑of‑way control surveys, right‑of‑way maps, sketches of description, and boundary and specific‑purpose surveys. This position offers advancement opportunities for motivated individuals willing to learn required skills and technology.
Responsibilities- Assist the Mapping Manager with all aspects of CAD and map preparation.
- Review field notes for information necessary to prepare maps.
- Prepare alignment references and Certified Corner Record (CCR) forms.
- Perform deed, plat & document research, title & easement review.
- Work in a safe manner and obey all safety regulations.
- Prepare Control Survey, Right of Way Map, Sketch of Description, and Boundary survey deliverables.
- Three (3) years of CAD experience preferred.
- High School Diploma (minimum).
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass a driving record check.
- Pass drug and alcohol test.
- Dependable.
