Overview
CMA is hiring a Transportation Engineer to work on Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and Municipal highway / roadway improvement projects. Candidates should be able to efficiently plan and organize their workload with their team, demonstrate success working with a team of professionals, maintain a commitment to quality, communicate effectively, and uphold a positive work ethic.
Responsibilities- Serve as the Project Manager on a variety of projects for the design of highways, roads, and intersections for FDOT and local municipalities.
- Serve in a technical role from time to time.
- Potentially serve as the Engineer of Record for projects.
- Mentor junior engineers and designers.
- Grow and cultivate business in Southeast Florida, with a primary focus on FDOT District 4.
- Be responsible for the financial and schedule performance of assigned projects.
- BS in Civil Engineering required, with a focus on transportation/highways preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required;
Florida registration preferred. - Minimum of 7 years of experience designing highways.
- FDOT and/or Southeast Florida municipal client experience is a plus.
- Experience in the project management capacity for projects preferred.
- Micro Station Open Roads experience preferred.
- Ability to handle concurrent projects.
