Transportation Engineer - FDOT

Overview

CMA is hiring a Transportation Engineer to work on Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and Municipal highway / roadway improvement projects. Candidates should be able to efficiently plan and organize their workload with their team, demonstrate success working with a team of professionals, maintain a commitment to quality, communicate effectively, and uphold a positive work ethic.

• Serve as the Project Manager on a variety of projects for the design of highways, roads, and intersections for FDOT and local municipalities.
• Serve in a technical role from time to time.
• Potentially serve as the Engineer of Record for projects.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers.
• Grow and cultivate business in Southeast Florida, with a primary focus on FDOT District 4.
• Be responsible for the financial and schedule performance of assigned projects.

• BS in Civil Engineering required, with a focus on transportation/highways preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required;
  Florida registration preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience designing highways.
• FDOT and/or Southeast Florida municipal client experience is a plus.
• Experience in the project management capacity for projects preferred.
• Micro Station Open Roads experience preferred.
• Ability to handle concurrent projects.
