You will be the Mechanical Engineering Designer Sr for an Advanced Programs Missile program, with a focus on control actuation systems. Our team is responsible for developing and implementing detailed designs and layouts of the weapon, structures, and subassemblies, driving innovation and excellence in the field.

As the Mechanical Engineering Designer, you will be responsible for supporting the Integrated Product Team in creating detailed designs, layouts, and drawings for various components and subassemblies. You will play a key role in developing and generating CREO layouts, detailed drawings, and design documentation, ensuring seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams.

• Developing and generating CREO layouts and detailed drawings for ICDs, components, sub-assemblies, assemblies, and integration test articles
• Building BOMs, creating parts, assemblies, and design documentation within Windchill PLM
• Coordinating with the IPT team, suppliers, GSC, electronic packaging, optics, and structural/thermal/material analysts to ensure design excellence
• Managing drawing releases, answering CRs, generating CN's, and presenting/supporting change boards and design reviews
• Performing design trade studies to evaluate cost, weight, performance, and structural/thermal benefits
• Interfacing directly with a Control Actuation Supplier to ensure design requirements, performance, and test parameters, as well as design reviews and deliverables are achieved on schedule

Part-time Remote Telework:
The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
