Location: Orlando, FL

Description

Perform engineering calculations, layout and design systems in accordance with established policies, standards, procedures, and code. Apply practical knowledge to resolve problems and conflicts, exercise judgment, and work with minimal supervision. May occasionally supervise subordinate personnel or assist other engineers or designers.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 8 years of work experience.
  • Licensed engineer (PE).
Responsibilities
  • Execute engineering calculations and design systems per policies and code.
  • Apply practical knowledge to resolve project problems.
  • Make independent decisions on engineering tasks.
  • Occasionally supervise subordinate personnel or support other engineers.
  • Understand discipline‑specific and building codes.
  • Maintain excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Educate clients on design and project requirements.
  • Coordinate with Project Engineer and Project Manager on scope, schedule, budget, phasing, and site issues.
  • Prepare design budgets and schedules.
  • Estimate discipline man‑hours needed for project design requirements.
  • Lead design team, assign job functions, and supervise progress.
  • Implement selected system types and produce complete construction documents.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines for function, clearances, coordination, and final design selection.
  • Perform final review of engineering drawings.
  • Maintain client contact.
  • Conduct quality assurance in coordination with technical manager or project engineer.
  • Mentor and motivate Engineering designers I, II, and III.
  • Meet fast‑paced deadlines while maintaining design quality.
