Senior Roadway Engineer (Orlando, FL)
Dewberry is seeking a Senior Roadway Engineer in our Orlando, FL office to grow and strengthen our transportation design practice. This is an excellent career opportunity to join a nationally recognized multi‑disciplined engineering firm providing planning and design services to the Florida Department of Transportation and municipal agencies throughout the state of Florida.

Responsibilities- Develop geometrics and prepare detailed plans for the construction of safe and efficient roadways.
- Prepare engineering reports and contract documents.
- Review work performed by less experienced engineers and provide coaching and mentorship.
- Serve as Engineer‑of‑Record on a variety of roadway projects from arterial widenings to multi‑level interchanges for DOTs, contractors and municipal agencies.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Transportation Discipline Leaders.
- Prepare marketing materials and collaborate with project teams during pursuits.
- Provide engineering support for projects in construction.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- 10+ years of progressive experience working on FDOT or similar public agency projects.
- Florida PE license or ability to obtain one within six months.
- Strong background in roadway design principles, criteria, and plans production processes (preferably with FDOT).
- Proficiency with Open Roads Designer.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments in a timely fashion to meet project schedules.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- Strong desire to be a key contributor in an outstanding team of industry‑leading professionals.
