Senior Roadway Engineer (Orlando, FL)

Dewberry is seeking a Senior Roadway Engineer in our Orlando, FL office to grow and strengthen our transportation design practice. • Develop geometrics and prepare detailed plans for the construction of safe and efficient roadways.
• Prepare engineering reports and contract documents.
• Review work performed by less experienced engineers and provide coaching and mentorship.
• Serve as Engineer‑of‑Record on a variety of roadway projects from arterial widenings to multi‑level interchanges for DOTs, contractors and municipal agencies.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Transportation Discipline Leaders.
• Prepare marketing materials and collaborate with project teams during pursuits.
• Provide engineering support for projects in construction.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive experience working on FDOT or similar public agency projects.
• Florida PE license or ability to obtain one within six months.
• Strong background in roadway design principles, criteria, and plans production processes (preferably with FDOT).
• Proficiency with Open Roads Designer.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments in a timely fashion to meet project schedules.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Strong desire to be a key contributor in an outstanding team of industry‑leading professionals.
