- Advance interoperability across Live/Virtual/Constructive (LVC) training systems
- Reduce integration risk by adhering to standards (HLA/DIS) and VV&A practices
- Design & implement production‑grade C++ subsystems for real‑time simulation, training devices, and constructive forces.
- Integrate distributed simulations using HLA (High Level Architecture) and DIS (Distributed Interactive Simulation), including federation object model (FOM) work, RTI integration, and entity/state synchronization.
- Develop and maintain simulators (desktop and full mission) for Defense programs; collaborate with Army/Navy stakeholders, integrators, and test teams.
- Model behaviors and systems (platforms, sensors, weapons, comms) and validate against authoritative data and requirements.
- Profile & optimize for determinism and low‑latency networking; troubleshoot timing/jitter and packet‑level issues.
- Automate build/test (CI/CD) and contribute to configuration management, requirements traceability, and accreditation artifacts.
- Author engineering documentation (designs, ICDs, test plans, user guides) aligned to defense program standards.
- Expert C++ (modern C++17/20) with STL/Boost and multithreading; strong debugging and performance tuning skills.
- HLA (Evolved) experience, including FOM/SOM design and integration with a commercial RTI (e.g., Pitch, VT MAK).
- DIS experience (entity/weapon/sensor PDUs; exercise management; dead reckoning).
- Proven MS&T industry experience (simulation/training systems used in defense contexts).
- Hands on with networked real‑time systems on Windows and/or Linux; UDP/TCP/IP multicast;
