Position:
Project Coordinator

The Project Coordinator will meet clients’ needs and achieve project profitability. This person will do so by:

  • Serving as the first point of contact at the front desk, providing a professional and welcoming experience for all clients and visitors while performing receptionist duties
  • Representing Atwell in all communications with the client
  • Communicating with Atwell management
  • Assembling and coordinating Atwell project teams and progress
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Implement the project plan and assist the Project Manager to determine time frames, budgets, staffing, and project schedules.
  • Assure work product quality by analyzing the design, client requirements, and performance standards.
  • Monitor project status by:
  • Collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Intervening as needed to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Develop future business by:
  • Assisting with marketing support and presentations.
  • Following up on outstanding proposals.
  • Proactively building and maintaining relationships with current and future clients.
  • Ensure project team performance by:
  • Coaching, counseling, and mentoring team members.
  • Planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Communicating with team members and management.
  • Coordinating recruiting for open positions as needed.
  • Maintain project files by collecting and organizing project materials.
  • Ensure product quality and uphold Atwell’s reputation by following the Atwell Product Quality Manual and established standards.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by:
  • Attending educational workshops.
  • Reviewing professional and market segment publications.
  • Participating in professional societies and trade associations.
  • Achieve performance objectives by meeting or exceeding designated chargeability and hours worked.
  • Apply fundamental engineering, environmental, land planning, and survey concepts independently.
  • Contribute to team effort.
NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Assist the Project Manager in project/client communications by:
  • Compiling project status updates for internal and client use.
  • Maintaining web-based document management software (e.g., Expesite, Buzzsaw, etc.).
  • Assist the Project Manager with Vision organization by:
  • Inputting opportunities and proposals.
  • Generating reports.
  • Managing contract amendments.
  • Assist in project control by:
  • Adhering to project parameters.
  • Recommending changes in design, specifications, budget, and schedule consistent with project.
  • Assist in organizing the project team by:
  • Working with the Project Manager to assemble and direct team members.
  • Helping assign responsibilities.
  • Recommending sub-consultants.
  • Assist the Project Manager in achieving financial objectives by:
  • Maintaining project budget and schedule.
  • Approving expenditures.
  • Negotiating scope or contract changes.
  • Invoicing and collecting payment.
  • Initiating corrective actions.
  • Reporting results to management.
EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in civil engineering, environmental, land planning, survey, or related field.
