Job Description

Job Description

We are partnering with a well-established national engineering consulting firm seeking an experienced Senior Geotechnical Project Manager (PE) to join their Orlando team. This group plays a pivotal role in supporting both private sector development and public infrastructure projects across Florida and the Southeast.

If you enjoy leading geotechnical investigations from concept to construction support—and want the autonomy to manage clients, drive projects, and mentor junior engineers—this is an opportunity to step into a visible, influential role with a firm known for technical excellence and project impact.

What You’ll Do

As a Senior Project Manager, you will:

  • Lead and oversee geotechnical investigations, engineering analyses, and the preparation of clear, defensible reports.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, deliverables, and client communication—owning outcomes from proposal through construction.
  • Coordinate field exploration and lab testing programs and provide engineering interpretation and recommendations.
  • Support clients during construction with geotechnical consultation and provide or oversee construction-phase observations.
  • Help shape the technical direction of the Orlando practice through collaboration, mentoring, and client relationship development.

What You Bring

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida, or ability to obtain within 3 months.
  • 8+ years of geotechnical engineering experience in consulting environments.
  • Proficiency with geotechnical analysis tools (e.g., LPILE, SLOPE/W, SETTLE3D, FB-DEEP, SPW
    911).
  • Strong technical writing, communication, and client-facing confidence.
  • Practical experience in both field & office engineering execution.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.

Bonus: Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering or related discipline, and experience with advanced numerical modeling.

Why This Role

  • Join a respected, stable, and growing consulting practice.
  • Work with clients that value strong partnerships and technical insight.
  • Growth pathways into Technical Leadership or Operations/Business Development based on your strengths.
  • Competitive compensation + full benefits (medical, dental, PTO, 401(k), professional development support).
