Power Generation Engineer

Provide mechanical and industrial engineering support for multiple power generation facilities across Florida. Lead and support outage planning, equipment reliability improvements, root‑cause analysis, and project execution. Work includes onsite and remote support, coordination with plant teams, and oversight of contractors and vendors.

• 7+ years in power generation, heavy industrial maintenance, or plant operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering
• Extensive experience with:
• Steam generation
  , gas turbines
  , steam turbines
  , and auxiliary systems
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
• Management of Change (MOC) processes
• Outage planning
  , maintenance practices, and project tracking software
• Contractor coordination and plant operations support
• Ability to:
• Perform equipment failure analysis and develop repair/upgrade specifications
• Develop scopes for procurement and manage project timelines
• Read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and engineering documents
• Work in confined spaces
  , at heights
  , and in varying environmental conditions
• Travel frequently to plant sites
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills

• Florida Professional Engineer (PE) License
• Experience with:
• Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
• Advanced project management tools
• Economic justification and cost‑benefit analysis for plant upgrades
• Background in turbo machinery diagnostics
• Prior involvement in emergency response or hurricane recovery support
