Join Cencora as an Assets & Reliability Engineering Manager II to lead a team focused on preventive maintenance and operational compliance for highly automated distribution facilities.

This role supports our Amerisource Bergen business, offering supply‑chain services to U.S. healthcare providers and systems. You will oversee maintenance of facility equipment and material‑handling systems (MHE/APS), ensuring maximum efficiency, compliance, and timely resolution of downtime events.

• Ensure automated distribution center and material‑handling equipment run at peak efficiency with minimal downtime.
• Direct workflow, motivate, train, and monitor warehouse associates involved in maintenance functions.
• Supervise a small‑to‑medium sized team, providing guidance, development, and performance oversight.
• Diagnose facility errors and coordinate repairs to support division operations.
• Schedule and execute preventive maintenance for building and material‑handling equipment.
• Monitor work processes, recommend and implement productivity improvements.
• Ensure efficient operation of high‑automation equipment, addressing issues such as HVAC, conveyor systems, and forklifts.
• Coordinate with facility management and outside professionals for critical issue resolution.
• Assist in configuration, maintenance, and upgrades of MHE/APS control systems, including PLC programming.
• Evaluate material handling efficiency, define modifications, and work with vendors on design improvements.
• Develop annual operating budgets for utilities, spare parts, training, and maintenance contracts; bid on additional facility support contracts.
• Maintain compliance with policies, procedures, safety rules, and DEA regulations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and spare‑parts inventories.
• Ensure building safety and security inspections are performed.
• Work split shifts, nights, weekends, and respond to downtime events on call.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

• BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Facilities/Plant Management preferred. Extensive experience with startup and troubleshooting of automated distribution warehouses required.

• Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in an automated distribution warehouse with large‑volume operations.
• Experience developing preventive maintenance programs, disaster planning, and knowledge of chilled‑water systems, cooling towers, diesel generators, fire pumps, air‑handling units, and rooftop HVAC.

• Technical and operational knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment.
• Knowledge of building automation systems such as Trane Tracer Summit and Manhattan Associates' Warehouse Management System (PkMS) preferred.
• Proactive problem‑solving and recommendation implementation.
• Ability to read and interpret CAD layouts, IPB diagrams, and electrical circuitry diagrams.
• Troubleshooting of complex automated computer‑controlled systems, PLCs, and microprocessors.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Self‑directed multi‑tasking and prioritization.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint);
  AutoCAD knowledge preferred.
