Specialist Engineer

Pay Rate: $43.00/ Hour

Preparation of technical specifications, verification of supplier bids with clarifications, technical supplier negotiations including risk assessment and commercial selection support for
- Air Intake system, Air-Cooled Heat Exchangers, Noise Enclosures, and Fire Protection system. Reviewing internal and external designs and documentation. Support procurement department regarding technical issues. Coordination with Lead Engineer, Customer, Procurement, Suppliers, other Engineering departments, and Project Management. Ensuring alignment of the supplier’s solution with requirements specification, customer needs, and interface partners. Attend manufacturing shop inspections, perform field/site support during installation, commissioning and warranty.

Proposal support for Bid Management team.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5-10 years of related technical experience.
• Detailed knowledge of auxiliary mechanical systems of a gas turbine, such as air intake, acoustic enclosure, ventilation, fire protection.
• Capability to handle cross-functional and cross-product line initiatives, domestically and internationally.
• Ability to work as part of a larger global engineering team in a collaborative manner.
• Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form and to interface within a wide range of organizations both internally and externally.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
