Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment. Plans and arranges the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices. Provides test area with parameters for sample testing and specifies tests to be performed. Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements. Responsible for testing all customer samples and for special tests that cannot be performed in the test area.

THE WORK
- Provide technical leadership and oversight to Test Engineering personnel, ensuring test activities are performed safely, accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with established engineering and test requirements.

- Plan, coordinate, and supervise moderately to highly complex test activities supporting engineering evaluations, product development, qualification, and analysis.

- Research test methods, engineering processes, and technical issues; lead efforts to develop solutions, improve test methodologies, and implement process improvements.

- Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and other functional organizations to establish test requirements, resolve technical issues, and support program objectives.

- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and direction to Test Engineering Aides, technicians, and junior engineering personnel.

- Review work products for technical accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established standards and requirements.

- Assign, prioritize, and monitor Test Engineering work to ensure schedules, deliverables, and organizational objectives are achieved.

- Lead technical discussions and present test results, analysis, recommendations, and project status to engineering leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

- Support the development and continuous improvement of test processes, procedures, tools, and documentation to increase test efficiency, reliability, and repeatability.
