Lead Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer for an established national engineering and architecture firm in Orlando, FL. This role involves overseeing intricate commercial building projects from inception to completion, providing technical direction, collaborating with various engineering teams, and nurturing the growth of junior engineers. Full relocation support to Houston is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications Must hold a valid Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities Review and assess drawings, calculations, and specifications to ensure they meet quality standards and comply with relevant codes.

Work closely with mechanical, civil, structural, and environmental engineering groups to align electrical designs.

Offer on-site support during construction, review submittals, and address any engineering queries that arise.

Lead the design and make critical technical decisions for large commercial projects.

Provide guidance to junior engineers and assist in managing project schedules, budgets, and resources in collaboration with clients and project teams.

Requirements Active PE license in Electrical Engineering.
10-15 years of experience in engineering design and project management involving commercial MEP and fire protection systems.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.

Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and coordinate activities across multiple disciplines.

Proficiency in electrical calculations, construction documentation, technical specifications, and quality assurance.
