Overview

The position provides investment advice in a virtual environment with an assigned book of business. It involves consulting with clients to uncover needs and provide opportunities to add value, and demonstrating how investments match client needs to help build an investment portfolio. All business transactions and practices within the individual's span of control must comply with applicable regulations and the Truist Code of Conduct.

• Handles inbound calls from clients independently while looking for sales opportunities.
• Answers client questions within set standards.
• Consults with clients to uncover needs and provide opportunities to add value through holistic financial management.
• Demonstrates how investment solutions match client needs, using a wide range of investment solutions to help build an investment strategy for clients.
• Leverages technology to interact with clients for communication, portfolio strategy, and display.
• Ensures that all business transactions and practices in the individual’s span of control comply with regulations and the Truist Code of Conduct.
• Subject matter expert on bank/line of business products; conducts research on moderately complex customer issues, interprets policies and procedures; may act as a working leader. Assists with training of less experienced Financial Advisors in the area of expertise.
• Works with small groups (pods) of Financial Advisors to facilitate training and referrals into the team; may have an individual book of business.

• Required Qualifications: 6-10 years of retail brokerage or securities industry experience.
• Strong communications, sales, presentation, and organizational skills with emphasis on proactive outbound calling.
• Understanding of basic financial planning and asset allocation techniques; sufficient knowledge of essential systems to assist in trade execution.
• Highly organized with knowledge of essential systems, policies, procedures, and investment products and services including basic financial planning and asset allocation techniques.
• Series 7 and 66 or equivalent registrations are required. Insurance licenses required to sell Life Insurance, Health Insurance, Fixed Annuities and Variable Annuities.
• Undergraduate degree in business, accounting, or related field.

• Preferred Qualifications: MBA, CFP, CFA, CIMA
