The Financial Examiner/Analyst II works for the Office of Financial Regulation's Consumer Finance Bureau in Orlando, conducting examinations of financial institutions and services companies to ensure compliance with state laws and regulations. The role involves analyzing financial data, investigating records, and preparing detailed reports on depository institutions, mortgage lenders, credit unions, securities dealers, and other regulated financial service providers throughout Florida.
Keyqualifications:
- Four years of professional examination and/or regulatory work experience in financial institutions or related sectors
- Knowledge of auditing principles and financial data analysis methods
- Ability to review, analyze, and evaluate financial records and conduct investigations
- Ability to write reports and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Valid Driver's License and willingness to travel 25-50% frequently/overnight
- Bachelor's degree preferred with major in accounting, finance, economics, or business; CPA, CFE, or CAMS certification also preferred
