The successful candidate will work across the company to strengthen grassroots engagement, improve how we leverage our trade association partnerships, expand stakeholder relationships, and develop tools and programs that make Government Relations a valuable resource for the organization. Minimum Education and/or
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Public Policy, Communications, Business, Aviation Management, or a related field. Four to seven years of experience in government relations, legislative affairs, public policy, trade associations, public administration, or a related field. Experience working in or with state and local government—including state legislatures, governors' offices, state agencies, municipal governments, or local elected officials—is strongly preferred.
Experience with a trade association or advocacy organization is strongly preferred. Experience in aviation, transportation, infrastructure, or another regulated industry is preferred, but not required. Additional knowledge and skills:
Strong understanding of state and local legislative and regulatory processes. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills. Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
