Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL

• Submit claims to insurance companies on a daily basis, primarily electronically
• Maintain knowledge of which physicians accept which insurances
• Verify insurance eligibility for patients as needed
• Accept calls from patients regarding their bill and assist them with comprehension
• Call insurance companies for status of outstanding claims
• Assess insurance denials and determine course of appeal
• Gather necessary documentation for claim appeals and resubmit claims
• Occasionally explain benefits to patients as requested
• Utilize electronic medical records system
• Abide by HIPAA and other relevant medical office regulations

• High School Diploma
