A five‑story, state‑of‑the‑art, multi‑specialty regional hospital spanning 380,000 square feet serves one of Florida’s fastest‑growing communities with outcomes‑focused, patient‑centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates an understanding of safety, emergency and risk management procedures.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the hospital mission, personnel policies, philosophy, and the goals and objectives of Pharmacy and Orlando Health.
  • Demonstrates familiarity with the general duties of the Pharmacy department.
  • Operates equipment required for pharmacy procedures consistent with operating instructions, safety regulations, and policies.
  • Dispenses medications and intravenous fluids utilizing the medication dispensing system according to scientific principles and Orlando Health policies and procedures.
  • Documents on appropriate forms and in systems consistent with guidelines, defined standards of care and practice, and the quality improvements program.
  • Develops and demonstrates competency in all aspects of health‑system pharmacy practice including pharmacotherapy, patient care, distributive services, drug information, and practice management.
  • Planned and monitored pharmaceutical care plans.
  • Performed pharmacotherapy and pharmacokinetics consultations, including TPN initiation and monitoring where applicable.
  • Evaluated and addressed appropriate alerts identified by CHR (e.g., IV to PO, renal dosing protocols).
  • Reported and investigated adverse drug reactions, medication errors, and documented them accordingly.
  • Participated in multidisciplinary rounds, if applicable.
  • Maintained reasonable attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, ADA, FMLA, and all federal, state, and local standards.
  • Maintained compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
  • Established and maintained open communication with patients, visitors, families, physicians, and team members.
  • Performed other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Education/Training:
    Pharmacy degree (Bachelor of Science or Pharm

    D) required.
  • Licensure/Certification:
    Must be licensed by the Florida Board of Pharmacy, renewed every two years.
  • Experience:

    Hospital experience is preferred.
