Job Summary:

- Under the general direction of the Director of Pharmacy Services, responsible for development, implementation, and maintenance of clinical pharmacy services at the designated practice site.
- Plan, organize, execute, and monitor clinical pharmacy services to improve patient care while effectively utilizing resources.
- Coordinate activities and responsibilities of the pharmacy department to ensure adequate scope and coverage for patient needs.
- Organize and maintain documentation of clinical activities for pharmacy management and accreditation.
- Maintain a clinical practice, coordinating pharmacotherapy plans and consultations with physicians and other healthcare providers.
- Engage in continuous professional development related to clinical practice.
- Support pharmacist clinical education, training, and performance management.
- Assist the Pharmacy Director in developing and delivering site‑specific coaching plans for Clinical Pharmacy Specialists or other team members.
- Participate in employee selection processes.
- Coordinate the development of policies, procedures, guidelines, and programs encompassing clinical pharmacy services as necessary.
- Participate on multidisciplinary committees such as the Pharmacotherapy Committee and subcommittees.
- Manage human resources functions including hiring, work assignments, coaching plans, and performance counseling.
- Maintain regular, punctual attendance according to Orlando Health policies and regulatory standards.
- Maintain compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
- Participate in pharmacy and medical resident training through multidisciplinary patient care rounds and formal educational programs.
- Serve as preceptor to students and interns for affiliated colleges of pharmacy.
- Education/Training: Pharmacy degree (Doctor of Pharmacy) is required.
- Licensure/Certification: Must be licensed as a pharmacist by the Florida Board of Pharmacy or obtain license within four months of hire, and maintain active status thereafter.
- Experience: Must meet one of the following:
- Two (2) years of hospital clinical practice experience with one (1) year completion of an ASHP‑accredited residency.
- Two (2) years completion of an ASHP‑accredited residency or Fellowship.
- Five (5) years of hospital clinical practice experience.
