Position: CT Technologist (ORMC)

Overview

CT Technologist (ORMC) at Orlando Health – Level I Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center. The role provides diagnostic imaging services, including stroke imaging, cardiac imaging, interventional procedures, and 3D post‑processing. Responsibilities
  • Exercise professional judgment in performance of services and maintain a demeanor complimentary to quality care.
  • Deliver appropriate care while recognizing patient conditions and ensuring successful completion of procedures.
  • Comply with all state and federal regulations applicable to each modality.
  • Adhere to Orlando Health mission statements and commitment to excellence standards.
  • Assess the patient’s physical condition and age‑specific needs.
  • Provide instructions that achieve patient cooperation and desired results.
  • Perform proper patient identification, acquire patient clinical history and assure information is accurately documented.
  • Position patient, equipment, associated devices and manipulate technical factors to achieve high‑quality images for interpretation.
  • Assess diagnostic images for technical quality, proper annotation and patient identification, ensuring all relative anatomy is demonstrated.
  • Apply principles of radiation safety to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others.
  • Comprehend and comply with Quality Control standards and participate in all Quality Control tasks.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in contrast medication administration with and without use of power injectors.
  • Administer medical aid as required in cases of adverse reaction to contrast medication and/or other emergencies.
  • Apply appropriate standard precautions and personal protective equipment to prevent cross‑contamination of contagious diseases.
  • Assist in supervision of student CT technologists and training of new CT technologists.
  • Utilize all Corporate Radiology computer systems effectively and accurately.
  • Ensure safety of all customers.
  • Maintain reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Maintain compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Valid Certified Radiologic Technologist licensure by the State of Florida.
  • Valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
  • Maintain current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
