Job Summary

Phlebotomist II – Orlando, FL. Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with rotational weekends. Pay range: $19.32+ per hour, with eligibility for an annual performance bonus based on skills, training, experience, education, certifications and market factors.

• Collect specimens according to procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions per training.
• Research and verify test/client information using lab technology systems, client contact, and approved tools.
• Navigate a computer and accurately enter data.
• Obtain identification and enter billing info; collect payments when required, following corporate policies.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport as required.
• Perform non‑patient‑facing duties: inventory, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones and using email as appropriate.
• Read, understand and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures.
• Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data when required.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs timely (maintenance logs, temperature logs).
• Complete online and in‑person training courses promptly.

Required

Work Experience:

• Three years phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs (weekends, holidays, on‑call, overtime).
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if applicable).

Required

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic training) preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
