The Registered Dietitian is responsible for providing and educating patients on medical nutrition. They will devise and implement nutrition plans according to the needs of the patient and document and evaluate the effectiveness of nutritional plans.
- Consult and record current patient information.
- Collect anthropometric data (height, weight, and BMI).
- Evaluate and analyze all patient information in order to devise a dietary plan specific to the patient’s needs.
- Educate patients on dietary plans and assist in plan implementation.
- Assess and document effectiveness of dietary plans for patients.
- Maintain patient confidentiality.
- Be courteous and cooperative with physician, staff, and patients.
- Clean and stock rooms as needed.
- Order supplies if requested and verifies accuracy of order.
- Demonstrate and embody the Women’s Care mission and core values.
- Compliance with all HIPAA rules, regulations, and guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study from an accredited institution.
- Currently licensed in the state of Florida as a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist.
- Registered as a Registered Dietitian through the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
- Must be dependable, reliable, and punctual.
